Whoop Whoop! St. Patrick's Day is just around the corner (17th March, to be exact) and we can't think of a better excuse to throw a party! This year the big day falls on a Thursday, so you can celebrate until the early hours and only have to fight your way through Friday at work. So whether you are staying in and drinking cocktails with your friends, or if you are having a few before you head out for the night, we have some great green cocktails which will help you celebrate St. Patrick's Day in style!
This Apple Martini is a favourite with Team Funkin, it's sweet but tart and always a stylish choice. To create this cocktail, combine 50ml Vodka with 50ml Funkin Apple purée 10ml Funkin Pure Pour Lemon and 5ml Funkin Sugar Cane Syrup. Shake with Ice and strain into a Martini Glass. Garnish with a slither of fresh apple.
We first created this recipe for Halloween, we loved the vivid green colour next to the orange pumpkins and black table decorations. However, once halloween was over, we found we missed the sweet melon and sour lime mix, so now we enjoy this cocktail all year round! Simply combine 50ml of Midori with 100ml Funkin Mojito Mixer, stir, serve long with crushed ice and garnish with mint. Easy and delicious!
For a modern twist on a tea based cocktails, why not serve a Green Tea-jito? To make this cocktail, combine 50ml White Rum with 75ml Funkin Mojito Mixer and 25ml Green Tea. Serve long with plenty of crushed ice and a sprig of Coriander.
If your friends are Gin drinkers then this pear and apple cocktail is the perfect drink for you! Just combine 50ml Gin, 25ml Funkin Green Apple purée, 25ml Funkin Pear purée.12.5ml funkin Pure Pour Lemon, 12.5ml Funkin Sugar Cane syrup and 50ml Cloudy Apple Juice. Shake and strain over ice.
Kiwi & Green Apple Softail
Finally, for those who fancy a mocktail, all our cocktails can be made without spirit and instead topped with soda water or lemonade, but if you want to offer your sober friends, something special, then why not make them a Kiwi & Green Apple Softail. Just combine 50ml FUNKIN Green Apple Purée with 50ml FUNKIN Kiwi Purée and 50ml Cloudy Apple Juice. Serve long with plenty of crushed ice and garnish with Basil leaves.
